Brandi Charlot is an up and coming creative, gifted in her ability to redesign spaces and repurpose things deemed undesirable, unusable, and unimportant through a variety of art forms. With thoughtfulness and intentionality, Charlot creates spaces that are captivating and inviting, while simultaneously honoring the vision at hand.
She has used her hands to construct various showcases, one being a mural located at the Movement Church. Being tasked with creating art that would honor the spirit of Easter, Charlot made several pieces reflecting the Christian using jute string. She is not to be confined to one… as she loves to explore the possibilities of expression through didn’t means. In addition constructing abstract art work, Charlot continues to be one of the lead visionaries and designers for events led at The Movement Cultural Art Center located in Homestead, Florida.
Charlot has also joined forces with Behold and Become, an incredible business created and owned by Brielle Fowlkes. Behold and Become seeks to help ordinary people see the extraordinary beauty that lives within them, as they behold our nature inspired, handmade clay earrings. Not only is the art a reflection of the the world we live in, it’s meant to inspire people to look within and behold the God-inspired beauty within themselves. In a world full of comparison and and intense feelings of inadequacy, we need to spread more messages of hope which is our goal.
Looking ahead, Charlot hopes to embark on various new projects that maintain the spirit of repurposing seemingly unsalvageable items. Through thrifting she will make old clothing new, she will give staging events a new feeling while being cost efficient, and she will continue to inspire girls, boys, women and men alike, to believe in the voice and abilities they’ve been given.
